It is hard to believe that our 19th summer in Wyoming County, West Virginia is coming to a close tomorrow. We have met so many beautiful people these last few weeks that we will hold close to our hearts.
Today the volunteers spent the day helping to pack up and move all the PV program items. It is a big job, but with so many people lending a hand, it really makes the job go by so much faster. By lunch time everything was packed up, driven to St. Vincent DePaul and stored away, not to mention that The Way was given a thorough cleaning. We can’t thank the volunteers enough for all their help. We used to do all the packing, moving and cleaning after the volunteers left and it was so much work!
Besides the moving though, volunteers went visiting and went to Glen Rogers Manor to play Banana Bingo and to hang out with the residents. It was a nice way to cap off the summer.
We had our closing prayer service in the early evening and then as a group decided to go out for dinner and celebrate another successful summer.
Thank you to The Way for giving us shelter and for all the people in Wyoming County who opened their doors and their hearts to us. Until we meet again…..
