We are putting together a PV Youth
Advisory Board to be a voice for the younger volunteers, as well as to
provide an opportunity for our wonderful younger PVs to develop their
leadership skills. They are the future of the PVs! The board will be
meeting in person this March with us and then hopefully a few more times
during the year, either via skype or in person. During the year the
Board will help with all things related to the PVs, such as programming,
decision making, keeping the volunteers connected and fundraising.
During the summer, we will be asking the board members when/if they are
present to take on a leadership role within the PV Community, such has
helping with community day activities and being a resource for
volunteers on site. We are currently writing for a grant that would also
allow us to provide a small stipend for board members for the time they
are serving in the summer. We feel that the PV Youth Advisory Board
will be beneficial both for the program and for those willing to be on
the board.
