Peace Camp came to a close today and I think both the kids and the volunteers were sad to see the week end. A big thanks to all the PVs that came out for camp, participated in the Bridge Walk for the LWP, or just stopped in to say hello. At one point or another 33 PVs participated during the week. The speaks volumes about the importance of the Brooklyn program.
We also want to give a huge thanks to St. John the Baptist parish for collaborating with us to give the kids a full day camp experience. Your hospitality was much appreciated.
Below are a few pictures from the last day, but please check back as I will be posting a lot more of the pictures that were taken during the week.

Peace camp continues…. Today we were blessed to have a lot of PV reinforcements join in the fun. We did have a bit of rain to dodge here and there, but all in all another great day.
After camp we headed to the Brooklyn Bridge for the Brooklyn Live with Passion Walk. Again, we had to dodge the rain but as it cleared it was a spectacular view.

Another great day sy Peace Camp. We picked up a few new kids, so our totals are now into the 40’s. Starting the week we only had 15 registered, so we are estatic with these numbers. We are continually impressed by the kids. They are attentive, interested and engaged. We really couldn’t ask for a better group of kids.
We have also been blessed with a great group of PVs. We have a core group that have been there day in and day out, but we are also being reinforced by PVs coming in for a day here and a day there. The strength of the PV Community continues to amaze and inspire us!
Today after camp we decided to take a trip to a Brooklyn landmark, Coney Island. We walked on the boardwalk, wandered through Luna Park and some brave PVs even rode on the famed Steeplechase ride. Really, a great day.
A reminder, after the week we will be posting more pictures from the week. Right now we have been limited to just using cell phone pictures.
