The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. –Helen Keller
Today was the final home repair day for the 2018 West Virginia Summer Program and it was a great day. The weather was beautiful, sunny and not humid, a great day to be outside. By the end of the day, the whole crew was at the site in Ravencliff and a beautiful ramp and porch roof were constructed. The home owner was happy with all the work the volunteers did and with the end product.
In the morning a group of PVs went to Energy Express in Mullens to help with the summer program. They had a great time working with the local youth and the young adults that are running the program.
We had a potpourri of leftovers for dinner tonight. A little bit of everything from this week and even items that were in the freezer from earlier dinners that weren’t enough for a full dinner. It was like traveling down PV dinner memory lane.
Reflection tonight focused on the idea of someone or something watching over us. We shared our thoughts on this on how the people we have met have people watching over them.
